Nestled in the vibrant inner-west suburbs, this school is renowned for its dedication to academic excellence and a holistic approach to student development.

The Role
As a VCE Literature Teacher, you will engage and inspire students through the complexities of literary texts, fostering a deep appreciation of literature. Your teaching load will include:

• 0.66 VCE Literature (Year 11)
• 1 class of Year 8 English
• 1 class of Year 10 English

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the needs of VCE Literature students.
• Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive and conducive to learning.
• Assess and report on student progress and provide feedback to help students excel.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.

Requirements:

• Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Proven experience in teaching VCE Literature and secondary English.
• Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and VCE study designs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to innovate and adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
