Are you passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their potential? A Catholic Secondary School in Melbourne's Western Suburbs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Lead Teacher to join our team in January 2025.

About The School:
Our client is a vibrant and welcoming community committed to fostering a faith-based environment of respect, diversity, and academic excellence. Guided by Catholic values, the school celebrates the uniqueness of every child and strive to provide an education that nurtures the whole person—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:
As the Inclusion Lead Teacher, you will:
  • Champion Inclusive Education: Lead the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies that support the needs of all learners, including those with diverse learning abilities and backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, learning support officers, and families to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and provide targeted intervention programs.
  • Promote Professional Learning: Deliver training and guidance to staff on inclusive practices, differentiation, and strategies to enhance student engagement.
  • Oversee Compliance: Ensure all processes align with Catholic Education Melbourne (CEM) and Department of Education requirements, including funding applications and reporting.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Engage with parents, caregivers, and external support services to create a collaborative approach to student success.
About You:
You are a passionate educator with a heart for inclusion and a strong commitment to Catholic education. You will bring:
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • A Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with postgraduate qualifications in Special Education or Inclusive Education (highly regarded).
  • Proven experience in leading inclusion and diversity programs in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), NCCD, and disability funding processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • A genuine understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
What's On Offer:
  • A full-time, ongoing position starting in January 2025.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact in a supportive and faith-driven school community.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities.
  • A welcoming team culture that values innovation, respect, and collaboration.
