The Role:
As the Inclusion Lead Teacher, you will:
- Champion Inclusive Education: Lead the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies that support the needs of all learners, including those with diverse learning abilities and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, learning support officers, and families to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and provide targeted intervention programs.
- Promote Professional Learning: Deliver training and guidance to staff on inclusive practices, differentiation, and strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Oversee Compliance: Ensure all processes align with Catholic Education Melbourne (CEM) and Department of Education requirements, including funding applications and reporting.
- Build Strong Partnerships: Engage with parents, caregivers, and external support services to create a collaborative approach to student success.
You are a passionate educator with a heart for inclusion and a strong commitment to Catholic education. You will bring:
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- A Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with postgraduate qualifications in Special Education or Inclusive Education (highly regarded).
- Proven experience in leading inclusion and diversity programs in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), NCCD, and disability funding processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- A genuine understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
- A full-time, ongoing position starting in January 2025.
