About the Role:

As the Head of Mathematics, you will:

Lead the Mathematics department, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Develop and implement engaging and effective curriculum plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment, inspiring both students and staff.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvement and academic success.
Collaborate with other department heads and the school leadership team to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and mentorship to Mathematics teachers, supporting their professional growth.
Develop and maintain high-quality teaching resources and assessment tools.
Promote Mathematics programs and initiatives that engage and challenge students.
Manage the department’s budget and resources efficiently.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational trends and best practices in Mathematics education.

About You:

A qualified and registered teacher with experience in leading a department or team.
Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum (Years 7-12) and teaching methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to inspire students and staff to achieve their best.
Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
